Questions people actually ask
Do clients count as seats?
No. Portal users see their hours and their retainer burn and nothing else, and they are free on Studio and Agency. Charging you to show a client their own hours would be a strange way to earn money.
Are there usage fees?
None. No per-invoice fee, no per-project fee, no per-client fee. The number of seats is the whole bill, which means you can forecast it.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
You can still export all of it. This product exists because a trial expiry locked us out of 53 hours of our own billing records the week an invoice was due, so export is exempt from every gate in the app — by design, and covered by tests that fail if anyone changes it.
Is there a free plan?
Not yet — a free tier we cannot support well is worse than none. There is a trial with your real data imported, and if it does not fit you owe nothing.
Can I pay annually?
Yes, at two months off. Monthly is month-to-month with no commitment.
Do you migrate my history?
Clockify and CSV imports are built in, and the re-rate tool can apply correct bill and cost rates across imported history with a preview before it writes anything.
