Accessibility statement
Effective August 31, 2026
Billable8 should work for the person doing the work, not only for the mouse and monitor they happen to use. We aim to make the public site and application usable with keyboards, screen readers, zoom, high contrast, and reduced motion. This statement says what we test, where we are still improving, and how to reach a human if we missed a barrier.
Our target
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our engineering target. That is a target and an ongoing practice, not a claim that every screen has been independently certified.
What is built in
- Keyboard access for navigation, forms, tables, dialogs, boards, and the command palette, with visible focus indicators.
- A skip link and semantic headings, landmarks, labels, tables, and status messages for assistive technology.
- Light and dark themes, text and interface contrast checks, and layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling on small screens.
- Reduced-motion support and no essential information conveyed by animation or colour alone.
- Automated accessibility checks and keyboard-focused browser tests in the release suite, followed by manual review of critical flows.
Known limitations
Complex project boards and dense reporting tables remain the hardest parts of the product to use at high zoom and with some screen-reader navigation modes. They are keyboard operable, but we are continuing to improve announcements, column context, and reflow. Uploaded files and text supplied by workspace owners may also be inaccessible in ways Billable8 cannot automatically repair.
Report a barrier
If something stops you completing a task, use the contact form or email zach@opsautomators.com. Include the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use if you are comfortable sharing it. A person will acknowledge the report within three business days and work with you on an accessible alternative while the issue is fixed.
How this statement is maintained
We review this statement when a material interface changes and after accessibility findings are resolved. The effective date changes when the testing approach, known limitations, or contact commitment changes.
